Sponsor an African School

Peter Farrington, Director of the Oriental Orthodox Library, is taking part in a challenge to raise £4000 to build a school in rural Africa.

He is going to be walking the 100kms of the St Cuthbert's Way in April 2008 with a work colleague, Chris Irons. The St Cuthbert's Way follows the course which St Cuthbert took when he became Bishop of Lindisfarne in the early years of the Church in Britain.

Build Africa

We are raising money to support Build Africa. A charity which has been working with local African communities for over 25 years.

The funds we collect will be used to build a rural school in Uganda or Kenya, a particular project will be chosen soon. The future of Africa is in their children, and education will help Africa develop out of poverty.

Will you help us to complete this challenge. A donation of any size will make a difference. Walking for Africa
